568-320 BUNA 70 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SH70320 is an AS568-320 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring with an inside diameter of 1.1 in (27.94 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.52 in (38.61 mm). This square-cut ring presents a flat rectangular section that cannot roll or twist in its groove, making it a dependable static seal.

Buna-N (Nitrile) delivers low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. This material stands up to many alcohols, hydraulic fluids, and greases and lubricants. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where ketones or ozone and direct sunlight are present. The profile itself contributes greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
