SV70322 is an AS568-322 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.225 in (31.12 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.645 in (41.78 mm). In service, this square-cut ring presents a flat rectangular section that cannot roll or twist in its groove, making it a dependable static seal.

Expect good resistance to chlorinated solvents, many acids, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters will shorten service life. The profile itself contributes simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost and a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove.
