Ordered as SV70346, this is an AS568-346 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.1 in (104.14 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.52 in (114.81 mm). The square-cut ring presents a flat rectangular section that cannot roll or twist in its groove, making it a dependable static seal.

The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). The profile itself contributes a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area and a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
