Part number SV70348 is an AS568-348 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring with an inside diameter of 4.35 in (110.49 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.77 in (121.16 mm). A square-cut ring presents a flat rectangular section that cannot roll or twist in its groove, making it a dependable static seal.

Viton® (FKM) delivers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. It resists aggressive chemicals, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids. The profile itself contributes greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size and a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
