SV70349 is an AS568-349 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.475 in (113.67 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.895 in (124.33 mm). In service, this square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

Viton® (FKM) offers outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with ketones and esters or amines. The profile itself contributes greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size and simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

Typical settings include chemical processing, semiconductor equipment, and oil and gas.
