568-352 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

SV70352 is an AS568-352 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.85 in (123.19 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.27 in (133.86 mm). In service, this square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present. The profile itself contributes a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area and greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, semiconductor equipment, and oil and gas.
