Ordered as SV70353, this is an AS568-353 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.975 in (126.37 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.395 in (137.03 mm). The square-cut ring seals with a broad flat contact band instead of the line contact of a round-section ring.

Expect good resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, chlorinated solvents, and engine and transmission fluids. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for outstanding high-temperature capability and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area.
