SV70354 is an AS568-354 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.1 in (129.54 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.52 in (140.21 mm). In service, this square-cut ring offers greater contact area against the gland wall than an equivalent o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, oil and gas, and semiconductor equipment.
