568-364 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SV70364 is an AS568-364 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.725 in (170.82 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.145 in (181.48 mm). This square-cut ring presents a flat rectangular section that cannot roll or twist in its groove, making it a dependable static seal.

Expect good resistance to chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present. The profile itself contributes greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size and a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and automotive fuel systems.
