568-393 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

The SV70393 is an AS568-393 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 23.94 in (608.08 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 24.36 in (618.74 mm). This square-cut ring resists the spiral failure that affects round rings on long reciprocating strokes.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, aggressive chemicals, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines. The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, automotive fuel systems, and high-temperature process equipment.
