It delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.
The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. Viton® (FKM) offers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving amines or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
