568-426 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

SV70426 is an AS568-426 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring with an inside diameter of 4.6 in (116.84 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.15 in (130.81 mm). In service, this square-cut ring seals with a broad flat contact band instead of the line contact of a round-section ring.

The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). The profile itself contributes a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area and a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
