Product Specification

-
This o-ring is supplied in AS568-427 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 4.725 in (120.02 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.275 in (133.99 mm), catalogued under part number HSN90427. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The material holds up against sour gas and amine inhibitors, modern refrigerants, and heat and oxidation. That behavior comes from the compound itself: HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) delivers the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C).

Common environments for this compound include engine timing systems, oilfield and downhole equipment, and automotive air conditioning.

Stocked as HSN90427 and sold individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 4 3/4 inch. Check the compound against your process media, pressure and temperature before committing to a design. If you need a size, durometer or compound that is not listed, APG can cross-reference from a print, a sample or a competitor part number.
