568-460 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

SV70460 is an AS568-460 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring measuring an inside diameter of 15.475 in (393.07 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 16.025 in (407.04 mm). In service, this square-cut ring provides an economical lathe-cut alternative where a moulded o-ring is not required.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. The profile itself contributes simple lathe-cut manufacture at low tooling cost and a flat contact band that spreads sealing load across a wider area. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
