568-463 FKM 75 SQUARE CUT RINGS

SV70463 is an AS568-463 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A Square-Cut Ring with an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.505 in (444.63 mm). In service, this square-cut ring resists the spiral failure that affects round rings on long reciprocating strokes.

It resists petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). The profile itself contributes a rectangular section that will not roll in the groove and greater resistance to extrusion than a round section of the same size. Note that a square section is less suited to high-speed rotary service, where the larger contact area raises friction and heat.
