The 11890625-10 is a Square Braided Non-Asbestos Compression Packing with a 5/8 inch square cross section. This compression packing provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump. The catalog record notes: 10 LB. Box - Approx. 58 FT.

The material holds up against shaft wear, elevated temperature and pressure, and process media. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Square Braided Non-Asbestos is widely chosen for dependable service life when correctly adjusted, controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft. It is not the right choice where over-tightening of the gland or running dry without flush are present.
