This compression packing is supplied in Graphite Filament supplied with a 5/8 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11750625-05. It is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. This item is further identified as 5 LB. Box - Approx. 27 FT.

Graphite Filament is specified here for exceptional temperature capability well beyond elastomeric materials and no aging, hardening or embrittlement over time. This material stands up to fire exposure, steam, and thermal shock. It is not the right choice where strong oxidizing acids or highly oxidizing service above rated temperature are present.
