APG stocks the 3TMP600, an APG Carbon Steel Hose Mender Combination Nipple with a 6 inch nominal size. A combination nipple splices two hose sections back together after a field cut.

It resists mechanical load and impact, high pressure. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Carbon Steel is valued for excellent pressure and impact capability, high mechanical strength at economical cost. It should not be specified for service in corrosive media without protective coating or salt water immersion.

It sees regular use in structural and pressure piping, construction, and heavy industrial.
