7/16" BRAIDED FLEXIBLE GRAPHITE PACKING

This compression packing is supplied in Braided Flexible Graphite supplied with a 7/16 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11710437-01. It provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump. Supplementary detail from the product record: 1 LB. Box - Approx. 11 FT.

Braided Flexible Graphite is specified here for excellent thermal conductivity and fire resistance, near-zero creep relaxation under load. This material stands up to most chemicals across the pH range, very high temperature, and thermal shock. Exposure to strong oxidizing acids or highly oxidizing service above rated temperature will shorten service life.
