Carbon Fiber with Graphite is specified here for conformability that seals imperfect flange faces, excellent thermal conductivity and fire resistance. This material stands up to thermal shock, fire exposure, and steam. It should not be specified for service in highly oxidizing service above rated temperature or strong oxidizing acids.
