This spiral wound gasket is supplied in green 316L Stainless Steel Class 300 with a 12 inch nominal pipe size and a Class 300 pressure rating, catalogued under part number 7GSW6B1200. It alternates metal windings with a soft filler so the gasket recovers elastically through thermal and pressure cycling.

316L Stainless Steel offers excellent corrosion resistance in washdown and marine service, high mechanical strength and pressure capability. Expect good resistance to salt water and washdown, corrosion and oxidation, and elevated temperature. It should not be specified for service in chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals.
