7GSW6D1400 is a green 316L Stainless Steel Class 600 Spiral Wound Gasket built to a 14 inch nominal pipe size and a Class 600 pressure rating. In service, this spiral wound gasket alternates metal windings with a soft filler so the gasket recovers elastically through thermal and pressure cycling.

As a material, 316L Stainless Steel is specified for excellent corrosion resistance in washdown and marine service, long service life in demanding outdoor environments. This material stands up to salt water and washdown, corrosion and oxidation, and chemical attack. It is not the right choice where chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals are present.

Common environments for this compound include pharmaceutical, marine and offshore, and petrochemical.
