Braided Flexible Graphite is specified here for no aging, hardening or embrittlement over time and exceptional temperature capability well beyond elastomeric materials. This material stands up to fire exposure, steam, and thermal shock. It should not be specified for service in highly oxidizing service above rated temperature or strong oxidizing acids.
