-217 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

The A80217 is an AS568-217 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.449 in (36.8 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to amines and corrosion inhibitors, sour gas and hydrogen sulfide, and brake fluids and phosphate esters. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Aflas (TFE/P) is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties and proven performance in aggressive downhole environments. Rated temperature range runs from -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons or some chlorinated solvents will shorten service life.
