THREAD SEAL, STEEL PLATED

Ordered as ATS7500-1/2, this is a black Buna-N (Nitrile) Thread Seal supplied with an inside diameter of 0.5 in (12.7 mm). The thread seal seals at the threaded joint so the fastener itself carries the sealing function. The catalog record notes: Nitrile 70 -1/2.

The material holds up against hydraulic fluids, petroleum-based oils, and many alcohols. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified for low compression set under sustained load and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C).

It sees regular use in agricultural equipment, construction equipment, and general industrial maintenance.
