THREAD SEAL STEEL PLATED

APG stocks the ATS7500-10, a black Buna-N (Nitrile) Thread Seal built to an inside diameter of 10 in (254 mm). A thread seal combines mechanical fastening and fluid sealing in a single component. Supplementary detail from the product record: Nitrile 70 -10.

This material stands up to hydraulic fluids, petroleum-based oils, and greases and lubricants. Buna-N (Nitrile) is known for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and low compression set under sustained load. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). Exposure to automotive brake fluid or ketones will shorten service life.

Typical settings include hydraulic and pneumatic systems, general industrial maintenance, and automotive.
