Ordered as VB75M1.6X8.1, this is a brown Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 8.1 mm (0.319 in), a cross section of 1.6 mm (0.063 in), and an outside diameter of 11.3 mm (0.44 in). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, many acids, and petroleum oils and fuels. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to ketones and esters or amines will shorten service life.
