KLINGER®sil C-4401 is specified here for excellent torque retention and low creep relaxation, reliable sealing on flanges with modest surface finish. The compound resists elevated flange loads, hydrocarbons, and steam and hot water. It should not be specified for service in strong oxidizing acids in some grades or service beyond the published pressure-temperature envelope.
