This material stands up to hydrocarbons, elevated flange loads, and a broad range of process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: KLINGER®sil C-4500 offers a calendered, compressed fiber structure bound with elastomer, excellent torque retention and low creep relaxation. It is not the right choice where service beyond the published pressure-temperature envelope or strong oxidizing acids in some grades are present.
