The E70NSF007 is an AS568-007 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.145 in (3.68 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.285 in (7.24 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against dilute acids and alkalis, water and steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is valued for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.

The compound meets FDA requirements for food contact and carries NSF listing. Typical settings include potable water applications, water and steam systems, and brake and phosphate ester systems.
