Part number E70221 is an AS568-221 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.421 in (36.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.699 in (43.15 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) offers very good flexibility at low temperature, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The compound resists dilute acids and alkalis, brake fluid, and ozone, UV and weathering. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels are present.

Typical settings include potable water applications, water and steam systems, and solar and roofing assemblies.
