This o-ring is supplied in black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 24 mm (0.945 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 28 mm (1.1 in), catalogued under part number E2X24. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists dilute acids and alkalis, water and steam, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for excellent hot water and steam resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where mineral oil-based lubricants or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.
