E1X25 is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 25 mm (0.984 in), a cross section of 1 mm (0.039 in), and an outside diameter of 27 mm (1.06 in). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to ozone, UV and weathering, ketones, and dilute acids and alkalis. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for good electrical insulating characteristics and very good flexibility at low temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C).
