APG stocks the E1.6X25.1, a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 25.1 mm (0.988 in), a cross section of 1.6 mm (0.063 in), and an outside diameter of 28.3 mm (1.11 in). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.
It resists ozone, UV and weathering, brake fluid, and water and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for very good flexibility at low temperature and good electrical insulating characteristics. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). It is not the right choice where petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons are present.
It sees regular use in brake and phosphate ester systems, outdoor equipment, and water and steam systems.
E1.6X25.1 ships individually. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
