E70278 is an AS568-278 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 11.984 in (304.39 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.262 in (311.45 mm). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is valued for excellent hot water and steam resistance, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations. It resists ozone, UV and weathering, dilute acids and alkalis, and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C).
