This o-ring is supplied in AS568-341 black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.895 in (98.93 mm), catalogued under part number E70341. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to brake fluid, dilute acids and alkalis, and ketones. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C).
