4MM CS X 37MM ID BLACK EPDM 70D

Ordered as E4X37, this is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 37 mm (1.457 in), a cross section of 4 mm (0.157 in), and an outside diameter of 45 mm (1.77 in). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists brake fluid, dilute acids and alkalis, and water and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) offers excellent hot water and steam resistance, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons.

Typical settings include solar and roofing assemblies, water and steam systems, and potable water applications.
