Part number E3X7 is a black EPDM (EPR) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 7 mm (0.276 in), a cross section of 3 mm (0.118 in), and an outside diameter of 13 mm (0.51 in). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, brake fluid, and water and steam. EPDM (EPR) is specified for excellent hot water and steam resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels call for a different compound.
