1 1/2 DUST PLUG 316 S/S ETC

Ordered as 315DPSS, this is an Ever-Tite Stainless Steel Dust Plug Cam and Groove Coupling built to a 1-1/2 inch nominal size. The cam and groove coupling closes off a male adapter to keep debris and moisture out of an idle line.

Stainless Steel is specified here for excellent corrosion resistance in washdown and marine service, high mechanical strength and pressure capability. Expect good resistance to corrosion and oxidation, chemical attack, and high pressure. It is not the right choice where chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals are present.
