This cam and groove coupling is supplied in Ever-Tite Stainless Steel built to a 4 inch nominal size, catalogued under part number 340ASS. It joins a male adapter end to a female NPT thread.

This material stands up to chemical attack, corrosion and oxidation, and salt water and washdown. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Stainless Steel is valued for dimensional stability under thermal cycling, high mechanical strength and pressure capability. It is not the right choice where chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals are present.

It is manufactured to MIL-C-27487G ; A-A-59326. Maintenance and OEM teams specify it across marine and offshore, pharmaceutical, and chemical transfer.
