Ordered as 340DCALBH, this is an Ever-Tite Aluminum Dust Cap Cam and Groove Coupling with a 4 inch nominal size. The cam and groove coupling closes off a female coupler to keep debris and moisture out of an idle line.

Aluminum is specified here for good corrosion resistance in general industrial service and economical cost per connection. It resists general atmospheric corrosion, weathering, and many petroleum products. It should not be specified for service in strong acids and alkalis or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals.
