4 DUST CAP BRASS ETC

Ordered as 340DCBR, this is an Ever-Tite Brass Dust Cap Cam and Groove Coupling built to a 4 inch nominal size. The cam and groove coupling closes off a female coupler to keep debris and moisture out of an idle line.

Brass is specified here for non-sparking characteristics valued in some environments and attractive, durable finish. Expect good resistance to corrosion in water service, atmospheric exposure, and moderate pressure. Applications involving ammonia and amine compounds or strong acids call for a different compound.

This part is produced in accordance with MIL-C-27487G ; A-A-59326. It sees regular use in petroleum transfer, water and irrigation, and plumbing and process piping.
