It resists high pressure, salt water and washdown, and elevated temperature. Stainless Steel is known for high mechanical strength and pressure capability, excellent corrosion resistance in washdown and marine service. It is not the right choice where chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals are present.
