Product Specification

-
SFDA2.5X19 is a red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 19 mm (0.748 in), a cross section of 2.5 mm (0.098 in), and an outside diameter of 24 mm (0.94 in). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces. The catalog record notes: FDA Compliant TO 21CFR Sec 177-2600, Metric O-RING.

As a material, Silicone is widely chosen for very good compression set resistance across its range and an exceptionally wide service temperature range. It resists extreme heat and cold, many oxidizing chemicals, and weathering. Published continuous service range is -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to hydrocarbon fuels and oils or concentrated acids will shorten service life.

This item meets FDA requirements for food contact under 21 CFR 177.2600. You will find this material specified across pharmaceutical manufacturing, medical devices, and sanitary process lines.

This item is sold individually under part number SFDA2.5X19. Unit weight is approximately 0.0064 g. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. If you need a size, durometer or compound that is not listed, APG can cross-reference from a print, a sample or a competitor part number.
