V60FDA173 is an AS568-173 white Viton® (FKM) 60 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 8.487 in (215.57 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.693 in (220.8 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.
