APG stocks the V70049, an AS568-049 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.989 in (126.72 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.129 in (130.28 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists engine and transmission fluids, chlorinated solvents, and many acids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids.

Typical settings include high-temperature process equipment, automotive fuel systems, and aerospace.
