V70217 is an AS568-217 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.449 in (36.8 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

It resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to hot water and steam or amines will shorten service life.
