Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, aromatic hydrocarbons, and aggressive chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or hot water and steam are present.
