Part number V2X17.5 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 17.5 mm (0.689 in), a cross section of 2 mm (0.079 in), and an outside diameter of 21.5 mm (0.85 in). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
