The V5X190 is a black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 190 mm (7.48 in), a cross section of 5 mm (0.197 in), and an outside diameter of 200 mm (7.87 in). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
